at arm’s length
Exhibition Title Design
Jan–2025"at arm's length" is an exhibition project inspired by Zygmunt Bauman's book "Liquid Fear," which explores how modern fears differ fundamentally from those of the past. While traditional fears were tangible and specific, contemporary anxieties exist in a constant state of presence yet distance – always hovering at the periphery of our consciousness. Rather than focusing on didactic content, this exhibition creates an experiential space that embodies this psychological state, challenging visitors to encounter and reflect on how modern fears maintain their persistent yet elusive nature. The project investigates how such an abstract emotional experience can be translated into physical space while preserving its characteristic distance.

Student Opportunities Preview Pamphlet
Nov–2024 This project was commissioned by the Yale School of Art Dean's Office. Based on observations from previous year showing that students frequently took notes and wrote directly on informational pamphlets, the design was reimagined in a notebook format to better serve this natural behavior.

the space between spaces: (window) as physical object and metaphor
Oct–2024This anthology explores windows (and more) as physical elements of architecture and cultural metaphors, weaving together perspectives from art history, painting, photography, and urban design. As both editor and designer, I created a custom font for the drop-caps that complements the book's examination of how windows shape our understanding of space, privacy, and connection. Through carefully curated essays and visual documentation, the project reveals how these everyday architectural features quietly influence our experience of the built environment and our relationship with the world around us.

Dream Catcher
Book Design
Nov–2023Dream Catcher, a collaboration with Juice Chen, we explored the interplay between dreamlike fluidity and structured grids. The project centers on a unique acrylic bookcase housing reprinted "Dream Fragments" within shifting grid patterns. Using Binder binding, the metal rings serve as drawer pulls, allowing each page to become cover or back—reflecting dreams' endless, non-linear nature.Category
