"at arm's length" is an exhibition project inspired by Zygmunt Bauman's book "Liquid Fear," which explores how modern fears differ fundamentally from those of the past. While traditional fears were tangible and specific, contemporary anxieties exist in a constant state of presence yet distance – always hovering at the periphery of our consciousness. Rather than focusing on didactic content, this exhibition creates an experiential space that embodies this psychological state, challenging visitors to encounter and reflect on how modern fears maintain their persistent yet elusive nature. The project investigates how such an abstract emotional experience can be translated into physical space while preserving its characteristic distance. Category
